Tim Holtz News ...

Mr Rabbit (Pete to his friends) is the most handsome well dresssed bunny, portrayed in this stamp set by Tim Holtz wearing a dinner jacket and bow tie. The set includes two wonderful patterns of a spotty background and a check or plaid rustic material, and two advert panels from vintage labels advertising eggcellent ways to dye eggs.

Size (approx) - Mr Rabbit's portrait is 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" high, from the bottom of his v-neck waistcoat neckline to the tips of his beautiful long ears.

26th March 2024 update of Mr Rabbit ... Our next delivery is due to hop inStore in 7-9 days, early April. The good news is that it is not a limited edition and eventually, one day, they will stop being a PreOrder and will be happily sitting on the shelf with all the other Tim stamps, so you will never miss out, no matter how long it takes to save and or decide :) Thanks for waiting with me!

Mr Rabbit (Pete to his friends) is the most handsome well dressed bunny, portrayed in this set wearing a jacket and bow tie, with complimenting textures and typographic plates (about dyeing eggs and other eggciting Easter chatter). Perfect for birthdays, thinking of yous, and even Christmas. Simply change the colours, give him/her different hats, brooches, flowers, necklet of pearls or a wig inspired by Miss Piggy! Let your imagination be your guide :)

In Other Arty News ...

A few new arty treasures I found while wandering around my wholesaler without blinkers on (I'm always on the lookout for essentials that will work with our other favourites) ... Sharpie Creative Markers (acrylic paint pens that do not need priming and are permanent on most surfaces) and Paper Mate Gel Pens (opaque gel pens in fabulous colours, including an excellent white).

Can't believe it's almost the end of March already! Thank goodness for art as it keeps me sane, most of the time :) Keep your arty crafty eyes on Dina, Dyan and Tim's news as we get closer to April... And if you'd like Ranger's new colours of Stickles, Archival Ink Pads, Archival Reinkers or their brush set, ask and I will order them for you.

Paint Brushes ... To compliment our range of Dina's and Dylusions' basic good qualilty brushes and Tim's excellent waterbrushes, I have ordered some excellent quality brushes called Princeton Velvetouch, which while not the same price as Ranger's, have handles that don't hurt my arthritic hands and bristles that wash clean easily, remain in shape whatever I do to them, and they are reasonably priced.  I don't believe we should waste money on cheap tools that do not last but we shouldn't have to win xlotto to buy them either!

There is a new brand on the market called "Willow Wolfe", that look really lovely but it's out of my price range to get the whole range in all at once ... I guess I could just get some at a time, but I'm a collections girl and struggle to just get "some". lol :) I talked myself into it ... I really like their name but we can't choose things just because they call a brush a dodo, or can we? ha ha I have already bought one pack to compare them with everything else - if you already have these brushes, I'd love to know what you think.

I've always been intrigued to find out why one brush would cost over $100 and on one occasion about 11 years ago, I bought a Winsor & Newton squirrel hair waterbrush for a week's groceries and while it hasn't improved my skills as an artist, it is wonderful to use! However, even if I won lotto, I would not spent that amount again on one brush again, especially these days with the synthetics improving so much that they can work just as well ... which is how I found the Velvetouch and Willow Wolfe ones, neither of which cost a week's groceries!

I hardly ever throw brushes either, away as cheap brushes are great for glues and mixing paint, plus their ends can be useful for dotting paint.

A n y w a y ... Velvetouch brushes and the one packet of Willow Wolfe (I am getting curiouser and curiouser) will be here at the same time as the gorgeous Dina Neon Scribble Sticks :)

Thank you so much for reading my blog post and spending time wandering around my arty crafty online shop! You are appreciated in so many ways :)

Happy Creative Day!
:)
